On the road, towards Douar Aït Souka, an ochre colored house appears in the distance. Situated in good in harmony with the local colors of the mountains and the nuances of green of the flora and the fruit trees around it. Its what Tamatert Guesthouse is all about!

The family owned guesthouse was built in a traditional way by using local materials like stones, wood and rose trees. The traditional architecture of the guesthouse will nourish your spirit and will let you dream of another adventure in the mountains of the High Atlas. A calm, quiet and inviting space, the guesthouse is the place to stay if you want an authentic High Atlas experience.

Rooms and Services
The guesthouse has 2 double rooms, 3 tripple rooms and rooms for larger groups. If you bring your own bedding, you also have the option to sleep beneath the shooting stars on our rooftop terrace at an astronomical price. Wherever you stay, we want you to make yourself at home!

The guesthouse is run by Mohamed and two of his brothers, Jamal and Rachid. There will be a warm welcome.
From the moment you arrive we greet you with a steaming cup of mint tea. The wild nature of this place and the warm nature of its people help you understand that "welcome", is more than an expression, it's our way of life here.

A life of peace and tranquility with good traditional Moroccan cooking, comfortable beds and the warmest of welcomes. We provide a friendly and personalized service to make your time in Marrakech a truly memorable experience.

Mohamed, Jamal and Rachid have all graduated as official mountain guides from “Centre de Formation et Metier aux Metiers de Montagne de Tanbant”, based in Ait Bougmaze. They will be able to give you advise and organize for you various walks in the beautiful surrounding regions. Discover the Draa Valley, the desert regions and ancient traditions.
They organize the activities throughout the year including skiing, summer and winter treks as well as the climbs. The brothers Imerhane can provide a complete itinerary for that.

Imlil is approximately 60km south of Marrakech. You can reach the guesthouse in just over an hour (by car). It is located inside Toubkal National Park, home to the highest peak in North Africa Jbel Toubkal (4165 m).
Our cozy refuge provides an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, with comforts and added charm of traditional Moroccan hospitality.
